At Homeowners Plumbing we are committed
to providing our customers the latest and best technology to protect their
living environment and the investment in their home. Using state-of-the-art
video equipment specifically designed to inspect pipelines, ducts, and
other channels we can save you time and money by identifying hidden trouble
spots that may require cleaning, repair, or replacement.
Video pipeline inspection is an
application that provides the real time condition of the interiors of pipelines
within the home. Using this tool Homeowners Plumbing service technicians
are able to quickly determine the condition of small diameter underground
sewer lines. For people who are connected to the city sewer system, the
biggest problems occur when tree roots grow into a pipe. In the past, a
plumber would snake out the line, eliminating the problem, but not the
cause and often leaving a cracked or damaged line in place to cause larger
problems in the future. Now, by using a our pipe camera, a Homeowners Plumber
can see what's actually going on inside the pipe recommend the best, and
most cost-effective solution. Best of all, the camera should indicate
exactly where the problem occurs, allowing our plumber to only repair that
small part of the pipe.
Older sewer lines of small diameter
(typically 4-inch) are made by the union of a number of short sections
and are often a problem. The pipe segments may be made of cast iron, Orangeburg,
or PVC. Each segment will have an enlargement (a bell) on one end to receive
the end of the adjacent segment. Roots from trees and vegetation may work
into the joints between segments and can be forceful enough to break open
a larger opening. Eventually a root ball will form that will impede the
flow of water.
A sewer pipe camera is a very important
piece of equipment, but not all plumbers use them. Before you dig
up your yard in search of a broken or clogged pipe, call Homeowners Plumbing
and we will use our video equipment to examine the condition of your pipeline
and determine if a problem exists, and more important, the exact location
of the problem and the most efficient solution.
